In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret group.

The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana in addition to several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Content

This release also adds the game's newest free story episode, titled "The Mystery."
