According to latest statistics, the number of people aged 100 and above in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the total of male centenarians has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the number of women aged 100 or over increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to listen to individuals who have reached 100, their relatives or close ones, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s major happenings and changes.
