Charli XCX Portrays a Hell Version of Herself in Satirical Film Teaser

Charli XCX is gearing up for a major film appearance in 2026, starting with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

Throughout the movie, she portrays what she describes as a hell version of herself.

It’s the truest representation of the entertainment world that I’ve ever seen, Charli remarked.

She elaborated in an interview: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept originated from the demand to create one.

A Glimpse into The Moment

The first teaser, launched on Thursday, mixes actual recordings from her recent tour with fictionalized backstage scenes.

The mockumentary is overseen and co-authored by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the narrative focuses on a world where the singer took completely different paths during the publicity of her hugely successful record Brat.

All-Star Lineup

The mockumentary is only one of several future movie projects for Charli, who already starred in three festival films in the current year.

  1. Personal narrative Erupcja
  2. Satirical comedy thriller Sacrifice
  3. LGBTQ+ fantasy 100 Nights of Hero

She also played herself in the Amazon series Overcompensating.

What’s Next

Next year will also feature the artist with Olivia Wilde in romantic thriller I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in art world thriller The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in terror reimagining Faces of Death.

She also signed on to star in the star’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

I am really enjoying my cinematic path, the performer expressed. I’m incredibly motivated at the moment in acting, and I always want to do roles that stimulate me.

February will also see the launch of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include fresh tracks from Charli.
