European Leaders Condemn US Move as ‘Coercion’
European leaders such as the French president accused Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions were placed on individuals who have been at the heart of campaigns to enact legislation governing American tech companies.
“For too long, ideologues in Europe have led organised efforts to pressure US companies to suppress US perspectives they oppose,” stated the US secretary of state online. “The current administration will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of extraterritorial censorship.”
