New England equaled their top unbeaten stretch since the Tom Brady period as they defeated division rivals the New York Jets by 13 points in professional football

First-year standout Henderson shone brightly with three scores as the New England squad secured an eight-game winning streak for the first time since iconic QB Brady's last year with the team in the 2019 season

Signal-caller Maye threw for 281 passing yards and a score, connecting on 25 out of 34 attempts

Victory bolsters the New England's advantage at the top of the division as they moved to nine victories against two losses, with the New York bottom after slipping to a 2-8 mark

The opposing team had gone in front at Foxborough with quarterback Justin Fields scoring a short rushing score to cap the Jets' first possession

But the home team answered in the second quarter as the rookie ran in two short rushing scores before the ball carrier caught a pass from Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third period to extend the lead to 21-7

"That was a crucial moment for him rising to the challenge, and it's been great for him to keep getting these reps," Maye commented on the rookie. "He wants to be excellent."

Justin Fields connected with Metchie in the latter part of the third quarter to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Andy Borregales booted a two field goals in the fourth quarter as the Patriots wrapped up the win
